Getting Started
After installing AltaPoint Mobile onto your desktop computer, you will need to setup the connection to your medical software.
Do this by running the AltaPoint Mobile program using the new icon displayed on your computer desktop.
Select ‘Setup’ from the Login form. Note - if you are running AltaPoint Mobile for the first time, you will be taken directly to the Setup form.
Enter the user information in the fields provided.
Schedule: Enter the employee code for the desired schedule .
Key Field: Leave blank for the trial version.
Enter the appropriate information in the fields provided.
Link To: Select the medical software product to which you would like to link AltaPoint Mobile.
Screen Size: Use these fields to optimize the size AltaPoint Mobile uses on your mobile device. Values are in pixels, vertical and horizontal respectively.
Server: If you are linking to AltaPoint Pro 9 on your desktop, enter ‘127.0.0.1’ (without quotes) in this field. Otherwise contact your network administrator for the appropriate server address.
Data Path: For AltaPoint Version 9, this will usually be: ‘F:\Alta’ (without quotes, where ‘F’ is the drive designation of your server. If you are linking to AltaPoint Pro 9 on your desktop, enter: ‘C:\AltaPointData\Data’ (without quotes).
Data Name: Enter ‘DATA’ (without quotes) for AltaPoint V9 and V9Pro. For Medisoft, leave this field blank.
